THE ART OF BEING HERE

5 de August de 2026

To love is, above all,
to be there.
But being there
is not always easy.
Some training is necessary;
some practice is required.
If you are not there,
how can you love?
Being there is an art,
the art of meditation,
because meditating means
bringing your true presence
to the here and now.
The question is:
Do you have time to love?

Thich Nhat Hanh

In a world filled with noise, stress, movement and constant change, it can be difficult to find a moment of calm, peace and silence.

Day after day, we direct our attention outwards, when what we truly need is something much simpler: to turn our focus inwards.

But how do we do that?

By beginning with the breath.

By cultivating a calmer, deeper and gentler inhalation, one that invites us into introspection and a certain sense of surrender.

By pausing.

And, with concentration, allowing ourselves to go a little deeper into the breath each time.

By setting aside the outer world, the material world, and listening instead to our inner world: our thoughts, our emotions…

And, through loving observation, embracing this inner world, accepting the fluctuations of the mind and bringing light into the darkness.

It is here that the mind grows quiet, settles, and creates more space between one thought and the next.

A living silence.

The silence that reminds us that we truly are.

The silence that connects us with the depths of our heart.

For within the boundlessness of the heart lie wisdom, peace and love.

All that we are.

The place we can always return to for refuge, to rest… and to love truly.
